Uzbekistan and Iran Discuss Cooperation in the Pharmaceutical Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 December 2025, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry held discussions on cooperation prospects with the Iranian company Darou Darman Arang.

During the meeting, company representatives shared their views on the progress of ongoing negotiations with local enterprises and proposed initiatives to enhance the skills of the workforce.

The parties thoroughly explored opportunities for joint work in this sector.

In addition, participants were provided with a detailed explanation of the current regulatory framework, including the incentives available for local pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Following the discussions, the Agency’s Director, Abdulla Azizov, emphasized that the successful development of the project depends on correctly identifying the regions for its implementation.

The parties agreed to further study the matter and make concrete decisions at subsequent stages.
