Uzbekistan and India ink contracts and agreements for US$150m

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, within the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to India and in the results of the business forum, 22 contracts for over US$80 million and 20 investment agreements worth over US$70 million were signed.

It should be noted that over the past five years the trade turnover between the countries has more than doubled and reached US$370 million in 2016.

In the first half of 2017, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and India totaled US$166.5 million. About 101 enterprises with the participation of Indian capital operate in Uzbekistan, including 15 - with 100% foreign capital.
