Uzbekistan and India Discuss Expansion of Cooperation and Plans for 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 December, Bahromjon Aloyev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Smita Pant, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan.
During a constructive dialogue, the parties discussed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, focusing on the development of partnership ties, expansion of investment interaction, and implementation of joint projects in priority sectors.
Special attention was given to the implementation of previously reached agreements, preparation of mutual visits at various levels, and the organization of the next round of political consultations in Delhi scheduled for January 2026.
The parties agreed on an action plan for 2026 aimed at further strengthening Uzbek-Indian relations.
