Uzbekistan and Hungary Agree to Expand Cooperation in the IT Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with Gellért Yasay, head of 4iG, a leading Hungarian developer of telecommunications and IT solutions.
During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary in digital economy development, IT outsourcing, telecommunications infrastructure, and data center projects.
Particular attention was given to the upcoming “Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference” in Budapest, regarded as a key platform for showcasing Uzbekistan’s IT sector to the European business community.
The meeting also covered the construction of data centers, development of green energy infrastructure, workforce training, and issues related to tax incentives.
Representatives of 4iG shared insights on Uzbekistan’s investment climate, the efficient use of surplus energy resources, and the role of data centers in advancing artificial intelligence.
As a result of the negotiations, both sides agreed to expand cooperation, implement joint projects, and attract European companies to Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem.
