Uzbekistan and Hungary Agree on Cooperation in Drones and Innovation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Asror Norov, Director of the Agency for Innovative Development, participated in the “International Drone Summit 2025” in Hungary, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, the Organization of Turkic States, and Edutus University, Dunyo news agecy reported.

The summit focused on the development of regulatory frameworks for unmanned aerial vehicles, scientific research, and innovative technologies, as well as cooperation between Turkic countries and the European Union. The Uzbek delegation held discussions with leading Hungarian companies and universities, emphasizing experience exchange, support for scientific initiatives, and the organization of joint research projects.

Special attention was given to collaboration with Obuda University. An agreement was reached to host approximately 50 students from Uzbekistan for internships and academic programs. Additionally, discussions covered the transfer of the technopark being established in the Jizzakh region to the university’s trust management.

The key outcome of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Agency for Innovative Development of Uzbekistan and the Hungarian Innovation Agency, aimed at fostering technological entrepreneurship, exchanging specialists, and implementing joint innovation projects.
