Uzbekistan and Guinea Discuss Cooperation in Science and Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Sardor Rajabov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, met with Senkun Silla, Permanent Representative of Guinea to UNESCO, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in education, science, and innovation.

The discussion focused on establishing direct links between higher education institutions, facilitating student and academic exchanges, and coordinating joint support for scientific research. Special attention was given to the national platform “Study in Uzbekistan” and its role in attracting international students.

Measures to create favorable conditions for Guinean youth to study in Uzbek universities, improve information sharing, and strengthen analytical and informational cooperation were also discussed.

Sardor Rajabov presented ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at modernizing higher education, implementing innovative projects, and enhancing the scientific potential of the younger generation. He proposed partnerships with leading educational and research institutions in Guinea to exchange experience and develop joint programs.

Senkun Silla welcomed the positive developments in Uzbekistan’s education and science sectors and confirmed Guinea’s readiness to deepen scientific and educational collaboration.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to take practical steps to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in education and science, including attracting foreign students and implementing joint projects.
