Uzbekistan and Germany Prepare for Intergovernmental Consultations on Strategic Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 September, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan with representatives of the German Embassy in Tashkent as part of preparations for intergovernmental consultations scheduled for 8 October 2025.

The parties discussed the agenda of the upcoming consultations, emphasizing the need to involve relevant ministries and agencies.

Topics included cooperation in healthcare, education, urban development, and climate policy, with particular focus on signing an agreement to finance projects worth €152 million, including through grant funds.

Participants highlighted the importance of implementing new initiatives in sustainable development, introducing modern technologies, and expanding investment partnerships.

The forthcoming intergovernmental consultations are seen as an important step toward strengthening strategic cooperation and advancing joint projects between the two countries.
