Uzbekistan and France Discuss Cooperation in Construction and Housing Utilities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sherzod Khidoyatov, Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Walid Fouquet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the friendly and strategic partnership between the two countries, with particular focus on developing cooperation in construction and housing and communal services. It was emphasized that open dialogue and mutual trust between the leadership of Uzbekistan and France contribute to the consistent expansion of practical collaboration.
Active participation of French companies in Uzbekistan’s economy, including infrastructure and utility services, was highlighted. Notably, effective cooperation has been established with the French company SUEZ in Tashkent for managing the water supply system, while promising drinking water projects are being implemented in the Surkhandarya region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Khidoyatov noted that Uzbekistan offers French companies open, reliable, and long-term investment conditions and invited major French investors to participate in significant national projects, including the construction of the “New Tashkent” city.
