Uzbekistan and France Agree to Develop Joint Socio-Economic Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 November 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque, in Tashkent.
The meeting was also attended by Jan Kosinski, Head of the Economic Service of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance; Olivier Grandvoinet, Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) Office in Uzbekistan; Davronjon Adilov, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan; Bobur Abdinazarov, Chairman of the Board of JSC UzAssets; and other officials.
During the talks, the parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the socio-economic sphere, strengthening bilateral relations, and implementing promising joint projects.
Special attention was given to public-private partnerships in the healthcare sector, efficient water resource management, modernization of water supply systems, and experience exchange in this field. The sides also discussed cooperation in the energy sector, including electricity supply projects, as well as the development of transport and logistics infrastructure.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue strengthening cooperation in the economic, social, and technological spheres, to expand dialogue and implement new initiatives aimed at achieving concrete practical results and enhancing the effectiveness of joint work.
