Uzbekistan and Finland Strengthen Cooperation in Innovation and Healthcare

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, to Uzbekistan, a business forum “Uzbekistan – Finland” was held, aimed at developing industrial, technological, and investment partnerships between the two countries.

The forum brought together representatives from relevant ministries, agencies, and leading companies to discuss prospects for collaboration in key areas such as industrial innovation, mining and metallurgical sectors, as well as the promotion of sustainable economic growth principles.

One of the significant outcomes of the forum was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Finnish company Lojer Group.

Under the agreement, the parties committed to cooperation in the healthcare sector, including the implementation of advanced medical technologies, localization of modern equipment production, and development of service provision.

This agreement opens new opportunities for joint projects in medical engineering and strengthens Uzbekistan’s role as an emerging regional center for innovation and pharmaceuticals.
