Uzbekistan and Finland Sign Memorandums in the Agricultural Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today in Tashkent, a “Uzbekistan–Finland” business forum was held as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb.

The event aimed to expand trade, economic, investment, and innovative cooperation between the two countries.

The forum was attended by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov, representatives of the Finnish government, executives of major companies, and members of the business community.

Special attention was given to the development of the agricultural sector, the introduction of modern technologies, localization of production, and enhancing the efficiency of the dairy industry. During the forum, memorandums of understanding were signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and Finnish companies Valtra Tractors and Valio Ltd.

Cooperation with Valtra Tractors involves localizing the production of agricultural machinery and implementing intelligent technologies in the agricultural sector, while the agreement with Valio Ltd. focuses on developing the dairy industry in the country.

The signed documents establish a platform for further strengthening economic ties between Uzbekistan and Finland, exchanging best practices, and expanding production chains based on innovative solutions.

Following the forum, the parties agreed to continue practical cooperation, identify new investment directions, and create a permanent platform for dialogue and experience-sharing in the future.
