Uzbekistan and FIFA Discuss Preparation for the 2027 U-20 World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The leadership of the Uzbekistan Football Association held a working meeting with a FIFA delegation dedicated to preparations for the 2027 U-20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

During the event, FIFA representatives congratulated Uzbekistan on being selected as a host country, noting the dynamic development of football in the republic and the strengthening of cooperation with the international organization.

Key organizational issues for hosting the tournament at a high standard were discussed at the meeting. Parties reviewed preliminary plans across functional and organizational areas and established coordination mechanisms to ensure effective collaboration.

Following the discussions, it was emphasized that close cooperation between the Uzbekistan Football Association and FIFA will continue to guarantee the successful staging of the 2027 U-20 World Cup.
