Uzbekistan and Croatia Deepen Cultural Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first deputy minister of culture of Uzbekistan, Avazkhon Tadzhikhanov, made an official visit to Croatia, focusing on expanding bilateral cultural cooperation, according to IA “Dunyo.”
During the trip, the Uzbek delegation held meetings with Krešimir Partl, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Media of Croatia; Iva Hraste-Sočo, Director and Artistic Director of the Croatian National Theater; Damir Zorić, President of the Matica hrvatska organization; and Maja Vukić, Deputy Director of the Croatian Audiovisual Center.
The discussions emphasized opportunities to develop collaboration in theater and cinema, literary exchanges, and joint cultural events. Specific topics included co-productions of theatrical performances and film projects, participation of Uzbek creative teams in international festivals in Croatia, and the promotion of national literature from both countries.
The parties also explored measures to enhance professional training for specialists in the fields of culture and the arts.
At the conclusion of the meetings, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in deepening cooperation and establishing sustainable cultural links. The expansion of collaboration is expected to create new avenues for experience sharing and joint projects across theater, cinema, and literature.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening cultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and Croatia, opening new prospects for collaborative initiatives across various artistic fields.
