Uzbekistan and China to Establish Platform for Digital Transformation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Shanghai, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov met with Deputy Minister of Industry and Informatization of the People’s Republic of China Xiong Jizhun to discuss issues related to digital transformation, artificial intelligence implementation, and industrial modernization.

The parties explored opportunities to expand cooperation in digital technologies, intelligent solutions, big data processing, and cloud computing. Special attention was given to the digitalization of industry, the exchange of experience in automating production processes, and the creation of joint technological platforms.

The Uzbek side presented initiatives implemented under the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, aimed at developing IT infrastructure, supporting innovative startups, and training highly skilled specialists.

It was noted that the country actively advances joint projects with Chinese companies, including the creation of intelligent computing centers and the development of the Industrial Internet of Things.

At the conclusion of the talks, both sides confirmed their readiness to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Informatization of China and the relevant agencies of Central Asian countries.

This document will represent an important step toward forming a unified digital space in the region and strengthening technological partnership between the countries.
