Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Abdulla Azizov, held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Yu Jun. The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.

The Chinese diplomat highlighted the strategic nature of Uzbek-Chinese relations and expressed interest in expanding partnership in areas such as scientific research, production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), development of traditional medicine products, as well as organizing business visits and fostering cooperation between professional associations of the two countries.

Abdulla Azizov, in turn, presented the opportunities of the innovative scientific and industrial cluster “Tashkent Pharma Park” in detail.

Special attention was given to the incentives offered within the free economic zone, including tax and customs benefits, as well as government support mechanisms for product registration and market entry in the CIS and the European Union.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue dialogue between Chinese pharmaceutical companies and the Uzbek pharmaceutical cluster, exchange information, and explore promising areas of cooperation.
