Uzbekistan and China Strengthen Cooperation in Security Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On Wednesday in Beijing, China’s State Councilor and Minister of Public Security, Wang Xiaohong, met with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Aziz Tashpulatov, Xinhua reported.
During the talks, Wang Xiaohong emphasized China’s readiness to jointly implement key agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries, enhance exchanges at all levels, and strengthen practical cooperation in counterterrorism, combating phone fraud and cybercrime, ensuring safety at mass events, and building the capacity of law enforcement agencies.
According to the Chinese minister, these efforts will contribute to the effective implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, ensure the security and stability of both countries, and help foster a more resilient and dynamic community with a shared future between China and Uzbekistan.
In turn, Aziz Tashpulatov confirmed Uzbekistan’s readiness to maintain close communication and exchanges with China and to advance deep and substantive cooperation in law enforcement and security.
