Uzbekistan and China Sign Protocol on Cooperation in Emergency Situations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Major General Botir Kudrathodjaev, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in a meeting of emergency services leaders from countries involved in the “Belt and Road” initiative, held in the city of Sanya, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China.
Representatives from 35 participating and partner countries, as well as specialists from more than 10 international organizations, took part in the event.
The discussions focused on establishing a mechanism for joint emergency response, sharing experiences in disaster relief, and implementing innovative technologies in rescue operations.
Within the framework of the forum, a bilateral meeting took place between the Ministers of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and China, resulting in the signing of a cooperation protocol.
The document aims to strengthen collaboration in emergency prevention and response, exchange of expertise, personnel training, and the conduct of joint exercises.
The parties also agreed to establish connections between the training institutions of their respective ministries and to promote the professional development of instructors using international experience.
