Uzbekistan and China sign five memorandums of cooperation in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, as part of a working visit to China, held a series of productive meetings with representatives of specialized institutions and companies.
During the visit, agreements were reached with the leadership of Wenzhou Medical University to cooperate in education and scientific research, technology transfer, implementation of clinical practice, and the provision of opportunities for experience exchange and advanced training for students and doctors from Uzbekistan.
The delegation also visited research centers and laboratories of the innovative cluster “Eye Valley” in Wenzhou. Following the meetings, a tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed between Wenzhou Medical University, the Eye Valley innovation cluster, and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
In Wuhan, the delegation visited the production facility of Langtian Pharma Group. The meeting focused on the “Tashkent Pharma Park” project and investment opportunities in Uzbekistan. The company expressed interest in establishing production in the country, and a memorandum of understanding was signed following the talks.
During negotiations with the leadership of Zhendong Health Industry Group, the parties discussed cooperation and investment opportunities. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Zhendong Health Industry Group and the Uzbek company Ozwell Biopharm, with an agreement reached on the joint implementation of a project to establish a modern laboratory in Uzbekistan.
Overall, during the working visit, the delegation held talks with more than 25 companies in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, scientific research, and manufacturing, signing five memorandums of understanding that open up new opportunities for the development of the industry in Uzbekistan.
