Uzbekistan and China Huadian Discuss Energy Sector Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 November, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and Peng Ganping, Chairman of the Board of China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for implementing energy projects in Uzbekistan, including the construction of wind power plants, the development of hydrogen energy, and other investment initiatives in the sector.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to continue active cooperation and jointly develop specific project proposals.
Founded in 1978, the company is part of China Huadian Corporation, one of China’s largest state-owned energy enterprises.
China Huadian Engineering has a charter capital of US$7.3 billion, an average annual income of US$2.9 billion, new contract volume of US$3.7 billion, and a total project portfolio valued at US$5.9 billion.
