Uzbekistan and China hold inter-ministerial consultations at MFA level

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 August, a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Li Huilai in Yangzhou City (Jiangsu Province, China).

The delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in a regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Yangzhou.

According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation within the SCO framework and other issues of the current Chinese chairmanship in the organization.

The sides also considered the practical implementation of the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced at the SCO summit in Astana in June 2017.

The sides also exchanged views on a number of aspects of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation, international and regional issues.
