Uzbekistan and China Discuss the Introduction of “Smart” Technologies in Agriculture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kakhramon Yuldashev, held a working meeting with representatives of leading companies from the People’s Republic of China to discuss the introduction of modern “smart” technologies into the country’s agricultural sector.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to the development of “smart farming” and the application of advanced AI-based solutions at all stages of cotton cultivation and processing.

The sides also discussed the establishment of pilot sites, attracting investment, creating production facilities, and integrating foreign digital platforms with national information systems.

Participants noted that the introduction of resource-saving technologies, the automation of agrotechnical processes using drones, and the deployment of China’s modern agricultural technologies in recent years have significantly increased the efficiency of agricultural production in Uzbekistan.
