Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, a business forum was held in China’s Hunan province, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing and the Consulate General in Guangzhou.

The event focused on developing trade and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China and aimed to expand interregional ties.

Participants included representatives of ministries and agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, business circles, and leading companies from Hunan province.

Attendees received detailed information about Uzbekistan’s investment climate, regional economic potential, key sector drivers, and opportunities in the country’s free economic and industrial zones.

Chinese companies noted the growth of economic cooperation with Uzbek regions and expressed interest in expanding trade and investment links. They emphasized the importance of creating an ecosystem combining “Uzbekistan’s opportunities + Hunan technology + global markets” through collaboration with the country’s industrial sectors.

During G2B and B2B meetings, prospective projects in Uzbekistan involving major Hunan-based companies were discussed.

Hunan province ranks seventh in China by population and tenth by area, with Changsha as its administrative center. The region has developed agriculture and mining industries. Key agricultural products include rice, tobacco, and citrus fruits. Hunan is also one of China’s leading centers for the extraction and processing of minerals.
