Uzbekistan and China Discuss Cooperation Priorities and Preparation for Regional Forum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 December, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed bilateral cooperation in 2025 and discussed priority areas for interaction in 2026. They noted the steady development of trade, economic, and investment ties, emphasizing that Uzbekistan continues to be regarded by Chinese investors as a country with a favorable investment climate.
Special attention was given to the preparation of the third Uzbekistan-China Regional Forum, which is expected to involve over 1,000 representatives from ministries, agencies, and the business community, as well as the formation of a substantial investment portfolio.
The parties agreed to establish a dedicated platform for regular direct dialogue with major Chinese companies, which will accelerate the implementation of joint projects and expand investment cooperation.
