Uzbekistan and China Coal Resource Development Discuss Coal Industry Development with a Focus on Environmental Technologies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 January 2026, Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Yusupov held a working meeting with representatives of China Coal Resource Development, led by Chief Executive Officer Yu Chin Xiang.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the mining industry and geology, including the development of the coal sector, the introduction of modern extraction technologies with minimal environmental impact, and an increase in production volumes.

The sides confirmed their readiness to jointly implement promising projects and emphasized the importance of strengthening mutually beneficial relations aimed at enhancing the efficiency of bilateral cooperation.
