Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Akmal Kasymov held a meeting with a delegation led by Xiao Xing from the China-Uzbekistan Investment Development Center.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening sustainable cooperation in the agricultural sector, expanding investment directions, and introducing advanced technologies between the two countries. Particular attention was given to the successful implementation of joint projects in the areas of innovative approaches, scientific research, and technology transfer.

Discussions focused on the effective use of meadow and fallow lands in Jizzakh Region, with a view to their subsequent development on the basis of modern agricultural technologies. The parties emphasized the need to intensify information exchange, introduce best practices, and accelerate investment processes.

The delegates proposed the introduction of high-yield corn varieties, the use of drones in agricultural services, digitalization, and elements of smart farming. It was noted that the application of modern technologies contributes to higher crop yields, more rational use of resources, and sustainable development.

As an outcome of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue long-term, innovation-oriented cooperation, move projects into practical implementation, and support mutually beneficial initiatives between Uzbekistan and China in the agricultural sector.
