Uzbekistan and BP Discuss the Development of the “Ustyurt” Project and Investments in the Energy Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with Ariel Flores and members of the board of BP.

During the talks, the parties discussed ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s energy sector, measures to improve the investment climate, and prospects for implementing major joint projects.

Special attention was given to advancing the “Ustyurt” project, exploring additional opportunities in oil and gas, and expanding cooperation in renewable energy and the adoption of advanced technologies.
