Uzbekistan and Belarus Expand Cultural Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the “Days of Belarusian Culture” in Tashkent, a meeting took place on 5 November between delegations led by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov and Belarus’ Minister of Culture Ruslan Chernetsky.
The parties discussed the current state of bilateral cultural cooperation and outlined ways to further develop it. Special attention was given to events held from November 4 to 6 in Tashkent and Almalyk, with the 4 November concert receiving high praise.
The ministers agreed to expand collaboration in the fields of cultural education, theater, cinema, and intangible cultural heritage.
In 2026, “Days of Uzbek Culture” are planned to be held in Belarus. Additionally, a subcommittee on culture will be established under the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between the two countries.
