Uzbekistan and Belarus discuss issues of tourism development
Nasirjan Yusupov noted that Uzbekistan and Belarus should strengthen cooperation at all levels and in all spheres, including sports and tourism.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan said that it is important to study the experience accumulated in our countries in order to draw from it an advanced, progressive one.
The basis for this is: in Belarus and Uzbekistan, for example, there are a lot of high-quality trainers, well-developed sports infrastructure, there are strong links between individual federations and clubs.
Now, according to Nasirjan Yusupov, it is important to give systemic character to these relations.
As Sergey Kovalchuk underlined, the relevant ministries of two countries are simply obliged to intensify cooperation among themselves.
"There are sports in Belarus, in which our athletes are traditionally strong. It is rowing on canoes and kayaks, all kinds of single combats, weightlifting, shooting bullet, rhythmic gymnastics, tennis and others. We know that in Uzbekistan there is a very strong school of boxing, judo, freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling.
It is very pleasant that at the recent World Rapid and Blitz Championship among cadets in Minsk, young chess players from Uzbekistan won first place. We could establish closer and mutually beneficial contacts, hold joint seminars, attract the best people for this, organize master classes and sparring, "said the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus.
The sides also discussed the state of cooperation in the field of tourism.
Participants agreed that there is an urgent need to intensify contacts in this sphere, as potentially each of the states can offer an extensive list of sights, historical and memorable places, a variety of natural resources, a whole range of tourist services.
One of the conditions is to establish an exchange of information. To this end, it is proposed to organize and conduct press tours for media representatives as well as informational tours for employees of tourist companies of the two countries in the near future.
Possible measures were also discussed to establish closer contacts between profile higher education institutions, as well as participation in international tourism exhibitions on the territory of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
