Uzbekistan and Belarus Discuss Expanding Industrial Cooperation and Cable Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 February, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan dedicated to deepening industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus.

The discussions involved representatives of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, as well as officials responsible for projects being implemented at the Eltech Industrial Technopark.

The main focus of the talks was the development of the electrical engineering industry, including the expansion of production capacity for cable products and the introduction of modern technologies.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects, increasing the level of localization, and organizing the production of high value-added products.

Agreements were reached on preparing a Roadmap for Industrial Cooperation through 2030.

The document will focus on deepening cooperation in the cable industry, establishing new investment projects, and expanding export potential.

Earlier, under cooperation with the Belarusian side, Enco Group established production of high-voltage cable and conductor products, and subsequent phases of this project are currently underway.
