Uzbekistan and Bangladesh Discuss Higher Education Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kungratboy Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, met with Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and innovation.
During the talks, the ministers focused on implementing joint educational programs and research projects, as well as facilitating faculty and student exchanges between the two countries. It was noted that Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has already established successful partnerships with universities in Bangladesh, providing a strong foundation for further bilateral collaboration.
The discussion also covered initiatives to promote scientific and innovation partnerships, including joint projects, conferences, seminars, and support for startups and technology parks.
Additionally, the parties explored measures to create favorable conditions for the study and residence of international students, including expanding opportunities at Samarkand State University in natural sciences, information technology, social and humanities disciplines, economics, management, and tourism.
