Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Strengthen Cooperation in Tourism Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the II Uzbek-Azerbaijani Media Forum held in the Azerbaijani capital, representatives of the tourism industry from both countries met to discuss further collaboration.

The event began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the grave of the prominent Azerbaijani statesman and political leader Heydar Aliyev, as a mark of deep respect for his memory.

During the dialogue, prospects for expanding tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were discussed. Special attention was given to cooperation in the media sphere, including the promotion of tourist destinations, development of joint advertising campaigns, and creation of multimedia products.

The Uzbek delegation invited Azerbaijani partners to participate in the international tourism fair “Tourism on the Silk Road,” which will be held this year in Tashkent and serve as an important platform for showcasing the region’s tourism potential.
