Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan discuss implementation of bilateral agreements

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A joint meeting of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments and Tourism and the Legislative Chamber Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security was held to review the implementation of bilateral agreements between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, deputies of the Legislative Chamber, heads of ministries and government agencies, as well as representatives of relevant associations and organizations.

Senior officials from ministries and agencies presented reports on the implementation of previously signed bilateral documents and approved roadmaps.

The discussion placed particular emphasis on expanding trade and economic cooperation, accelerating the implementation of investment and industrial cooperation projects, and ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of joint initiatives in the transport and logistics, energy, industrial, and agricultural sectors.

Participants highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination among responsible bodies, jointly addressing existing challenges, and increasing parliamentary oversight to ensure compliance with the agreements reached.

Following the meeting, a set of decisions and recommendations was adopted aimed at ensuring the practical effectiveness of the agreements and their full implementation.
