Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Discuss Cooperation Between Border Services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 October 2025, a bilateral meeting took place in Tashkent between the heads of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the press service of Uzbekistan’s Border Troops reported.

The talks were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The parties exchanged views on the current situation along state borders, discussed the state of affairs, priority areas, and prospects for interagency cooperation based on mutual trust, respect, and partnership dialogue.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to expand the exchange of experience in border protection, border control, the implementation of modern information technologies, and the improvement of material and technical support.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the course set by the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to further strengthen historically friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two fraternal peoples.
