Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Develop US$10 Billion Investment Package for Joint Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are working on forming a US$10 billion investment package to implement joint projects between enterprises and business structures of the two countries.
This was stated in an interview with Report agency by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov. He noted that alongside the formation of the investment portfolio, efforts are being made to increase bilateral trade turnover to US$1 billion.
According to the diplomat, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan is structured within a roadmap and covers a broad spectrum of activities.
These include regular consultations between foreign policy agencies, preparation for meetings of the High Intergovernmental Council, sector-specific events such as business forums and interregional meetings, as well as consultations in healthcare and scientific cooperation.
Ashrafkhanov emphasized that this systematic approach is aimed at strengthening economic ties, expanding interaction between enterprises, and creating conditions for the implementation of mutually beneficial investment projects.
