Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An online dialogue was held featuring the heads of the Agricultural Insurance Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Agricultural Insurance Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged expertise on improving the agricultural insurance system and discussed key directions for its further development.

Particular attention was paid to the insurance of greenhouse farms, as well as crops such as potatoes, onions, and various melons. The participants reviewed mechanisms for damage assessment and the involvement of independent experts.

The discussion also covered insurance issues in the livestock sector, including the determination of insured value, procedures for insurance payouts, and tariff mechanisms. The sides addressed the specifics of insurance in poultry and fish farming, including the identification of insurance objects and damage evaluation.

Furthermore, methods for calculating insurance risks and loss compensation were examined. Following the meeting, it was noted that the dialogue would contribute to the further development of cooperation, the implementation of best practices, and the refinement of agricultural insurance mechanisms between the two countries.
