Uzbekistan and Austria Discuss Expanding Economic Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 November, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments and Industry, Laziz Kudratov, met with Austria’s Federal Deputy Minister of Finance, Andreas Reichhardt.

The parties highlighted the stable development of Uzbek-Austrian relations and expressed mutual interest in further expanding cooperation in the industrial, energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.

It was noted that Austrian companies are actively strengthening their presence in Uzbekistan by participating in a number of promising projects.

During the talks, ways to deepen collaboration between relevant ministries and agencies of both countries were discussed, along with promoting joint initiatives and exploring new opportunities for cooperation in priority sectors. The visit of the Austrian delegation allowed for a detailed discussion of specific prospects for collaboration in key areas.

The parties also addressed organizational matters for upcoming bilateral events, including a business forum in Vienna and a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, aimed at providing an additional impetus to practical cooperation between the countries.
