Uzbekistan and Anuvu Establish Cooperation on Developing Internet and Multimedia Services in Aviation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his working visit to the United States, Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Nancy Walker, Senior Vice President for Commercial Aviation at Anuvu.

The parties discussed the development of internet and multimedia services in Uzbekistan’s aviation sector, including the possibility of introducing in-flight internet access on Uzbekistan Airways aircraft using low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite technologies offered by Anuvu.

They also addressed the provision of content and multimedia services to passengers — such as films, TV series, and games — as well as training local specialists to work with the company’s technologies and localizing content through dubbing, voice-over, and game adaptation.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding, affirming their intention to expand internet and multimedia services in the aviation sector, implement Anuvu’s technologies, and strengthen the potential of local professionals.
