Uzbekistan and Albania Leaders Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 September, within the framework of the UN High-Level Week in New York, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President of Albania Bajram Begaj.

The meeting focused on the prospects for developing mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Both sides expressed a shared interest in bringing bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level, including through the creation of effective mechanisms for political dialogue and economic interaction.

Particular attention was given to exploring opportunities in trade and investment, as well as implementing joint projects in agriculture, the food industry, transport, and other priority areas.

The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international issues, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening the partnership between Uzbekistan and Albania.
