Uzbekistan and Afghanistan Strengthen Bilateral Business Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Afghanistan Business Council in Dubai (ABC-Dubai), Mr. Khodja Obaidullah Sadir Khail.
ABC-Dubai is a non-governmental organization established in 2005 and recognized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It brings together Afghan entrepreneurs and investors operating in the United Arab Emirates.
The organization serves as an important platform for developing trade and investment relations between Afghanistan, the UAE, and the wider region, uniting more than 170 companies engaged in trade, logistics, construction, finance, agriculture, and manufacturing.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expand economic ties between the business communities of the two countries, strengthen investment cooperation, and implement new joint projects. They emphasized the importance of introducing major Afghan entrepreneurs working in Dubai to new investment opportunities in Uzbekistan and involving them in joint ventures.
Proposals were also considered for developing joint business initiatives, production cooperation, and transport infrastructure based on the strategic trade and logistics hub in the city of Termez, located on the Uzbek-Afghan border.
As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed to further consolidate economic partnership, create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship, and elevate regional cooperation to a new level.
