Uzbekistan amputee team defeats Turkey at World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national amputee team clinched a 6-1 win over Turkey in the World Amputee Cup, which is taking place in Kaliningrad, Russia.

Uzbekistan dominated the match and was leading with the score 3-1 after the first half. In the second half, Uzbekistan scored three more goals to win the match.

Uzbekistan coach Mavzurhodja Umarhodjaev stated that Uzbekistan came to Russia to win the third world championship title.

He said that squad of Uzbekistan changed slightly, but added that his team can win the tournament.

Uzbekistan will face Japan today. Japan lost their first match against Ukraine with the score 2-1.
