Uzbekistan Airways Updates Rules for Domestic Ticket Use
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airways announced that starting in January 2026, updated rules will apply to the use of airline tickets on domestic flights in cases where passengers deviate from the sequence of flight segments indicated on their ticket.
The airline explained that the fundamental principle of the air transport contract remains unchanged: flights must be taken strictly in the order specified on the ticket, starting from the first departure point. However, for domestic flights, a more flexible procedure has been introduced in the event of deviations from the planned route.
Under the new rules, if a passenger misses the first or any previous domestic flight segment, the reservation for the remaining segments will not be canceled. Passengers will be able to continue their journey on the remaining parts of the route indicated on the ticket.
At the same time, the airline emphasizes that the cost of unused flight segments is non-refundable, regardless of fare type. Only airport fees for unused segments are eligible for reimbursement. In addition, tickets with skipped segments cannot be reissued.
For international flights, Uzbekistan Airways retains the existing rules. If a passenger misses the first or any prior segment of an international route, reservations for all subsequent segments are automatically canceled without additional notice. Passengers may then request a refund or reissue of the ticket under the voluntary refund conditions applicable to the fare purchased.
The airline noted that these changes are intended to enhance convenience for passengers on domestic routes and align procedures with current transportation practices.
