Uzbekistan Airways transports 1.244m passengers in 1H

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, a national airline of Uzbekistan, (Uzbekistan Airways) transported 1.244 million passengers in the first half of 2012, which grew by 17.1% year-on-year, the director-general of the company Valeriy Tyan said.
In the first six months of 2012, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari carried out 12,339 flights, which rose by 419 flights more year-on-year.
The Uzbek airline also transported 20,000 tonnes of freight, including luggage. It also transported 755 tonnes of correspondences, which is 20.5% more year-on-year.
