Uzbekistan Airways transfers flights to new Istanbul airport
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 April 2019, all flights of Uzbekistan Airways, departing from the cities of Uzbekistan to Istanbul and back, will be transferred from the Atatürk International Airport to Istanbul New Airport, located 35 kilometers north of the European side of Istanbul.
From this date, Atatürk International Airport will be closed to passenger flights, the airline notes.
In accordance with the decision of the Aviation Authorities of Turkey, from 5 to 6 April 2019, flights of all international flights to / from Atatürk International Airport are canceled.
The airline said that its flights, scheduled for 5 and 6 April, are cancelled.
For passengers with issued air tickets for the specified flights, Uzbekistan Airways provides the opportunity to return to the place of their purchase or change the departure date without paying penalty fees within the validity period of the air tickets/
Rebooking of partially used air tickets is possible at the place of their purchase, at NAC representative offices abroad or at the State Unitary Enterprise GAVS.
In order to avoid delays on flights and timely check-in and all pre-flight formalities, Uzbekistan Airways asks its passengers to arrive at the new airport well in advance, no less than three hours before the departure time on a schedule.
The airline also reminds that check-in at the new airport in Istanbul ends in 1 hour, and boarding the aircraft 20 minutes before the departure time on schedule.
