Uzbekistan Airways Denies Reports of Altitude Violation on Samarkand–Moscow Flight

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airways has officially refuted reports published by several Russian outlets and echoed by some Uzbek media alleging that the crew of its Samarkand–Moscow (Vnukovo) flight had violated altitude regulations.

The airline emphasized that during the flight on 28 September 2025, the crew strictly followed the instructions of Moscow air traffic control.

All assigned flight levels were maintained in full compliance with established procedures, separation standards between aircraft were observed, and no activation of the aircraft collision warning system was recorded.

No comments or complaints were issued by the air traffic control service regarding the crew’s performance.

Uzbekistan Airways stressed that flight safety remains the company’s top priority, and its crews strictly adhere to all international aviation standards and air traffic management directives.
