Uzbekistan Airways and Airbus hold marketing seminar in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekiston Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) and Airbus Aircraft Company held a joint marketing seminar in Tashkent on 27-28 June.

This seminar was aimed at studying the capabilities of two partners in the development of the aviation industry in Uzbekistan.

During the event, participants will study the development of the air transportation market in the Central Asian region and expand the route network, learn about the latest trends in the industry, the evolution of business models and innovations in aviation, learn about the latest technologies introduced into Airbus products. Also, the seminar participants will get a broad idea of global events and best practices in the field, discuss the concept of development of freight and passenger transportation, taking into account the desires and needs of all categories of passengers, as well as the aviation industry of the country as a whole.

At the seminar representatives of Airbus highly appreciated the activities of Uzbekistan Airways and the level of services provided by the Uzbek air carrier.

"The national airline of Uzbekistan is a key partner for us, because our cooperation has been going on for more than 20 years," Stefan Konkoly, Regional Sales Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of Airbus, said. "Such seminars are very important for us, as they allow us to demonstrate our capabilities in aircraft construction and to understand more clearly what our customer is expecting from us. Uzbekistan is a country with a large aviation heritage, which has a stable present and promising future. Taking into account the country’s high economic growth, the desire and readiness of people to travel, the number of potential passengers increases, and this all stimulates the air carrier to develop its fleet and the scope of its services. We highly value our partnership with Uzbekistan Airways and express our confidence that it will continue to develop in mutual interests.

In December 2018, Uzbekistan Airways plans to get two Airbus A320 Neo. The newest A320 Neo aircraft are ordered in a two-class layout for 150 seats (business class - 12, economy class - 138). They will be 20% more economical than their predecessors thanks to new, more economical engines and modern developments in the design of the fuselage. Their flight range has been increased from 4,5 thousand to more than 6 thousand kilometers, this will allow covering the whole Central European region with flights.

New liners will be equipped with comfortable and wide seats with individual screens designed for entertainment and more pleasant pastime, communication systems and Wi-Fi. A new approach to aircraft design will provide maximum comfort for passengers in flight.
