Uzbekistan Airways Adopts AI System for Crew Management

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — National carrier Uzbekistan Airways has signed an agreement with Integro Technologies to implement PANORAMA COS, a software solution for long-term planning and real-time management of flight and cabin crew.

The need for the new tool is driven by the airline’s rapid growth. In 2025, Uzbekistan Airways carried a record 6.6 million passengers and placed its largest-ever order for 22 wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, in addition to ongoing deliveries of Airbus A321neo aircraft. Under its sustainable growth strategy, the airline plans to at least double its fleet by 2030.

Currently, Uzbekistan Airways operates over 100 routes across Europe, Asia, and North America.

At the core of PANORAMA COS is prescriptive artificial intelligence, which calculates optimal crew assignments in real time, taking into account hundreds of simultaneous constraints. The system ensures compliance with aviation regulations and IOSA safety standards, while balancing workload fairly among employees based on preferences and historical data.

The rollout will occur in two phases. The first phase will optimize flight pairing, including cost management and crew transit planning across various flight types. The second phase will cover rostering: assigning crew members while considering permanent and temporary personnel attributes, personal preferences, and multiple other factors.

Additionally, the system will calculate hotel room requirements at layover airports and support decision-making during delays or emergencies.

“Implementing PANORAMA COS is a strategic decision that will enable efficient and transparent crew planning, fair workload distribution, and rapid responses to schedule changes,” said Shakhzod Ikramov, Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan Airways for Flight Operations.

From the developer’s side, Anastasia Kornienko, Business Development Director at Integro Technologies, emphasized that the system was designed specifically for rapidly growing airlines. As fleets double over a few years, crew planning complexity multiplies, making a powerful AI tool essential for effective management.
