Uzbekistan adopts programme on preventing HIV-infections
The state programme was approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 10 September 2014.
The programme was adopted to execute a law “On fighting spread of diseases, caused by human immunodeficiency virus” and to implement measures on fighting spread of HIV-infections.
Within the programme, Uzbekistan is planning to implement 21 projects. Uzbekistan is planning to implement measures to fight spread of HIV-infections, strengthen material-technical base of HIV/AIDS Centers and medical establishments, as well as implement measures on training specialists.
It is expected to spend 12.255 billion soums and US$14.125 million to implement the project. The state budget will allocate 12.036 billion soums, execution agencies – 219 million, as well as international organizations, financial institutions and grants – US$14.125 million.
