Uzbekistan Adopts Moscow’s “Electronic Home” Technologies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Bahodir Rakhmatov, Director of the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms, visited Moscow’s city hall operations center to study the “Electronic Home,” “Smart City,” and “Digital Twin” projects.

The initiatives were presented by M. Kasatkina, Director of the IT Department of Moscow’s city administration, together with her colleagues.

The “Electronic Home” project, a non-commercial Moscow government initiative, currently serves over 2.1 million property owners. This year alone, the system processed more than 200,000 service requests, while its video surveillance system identifies 140 types of violations in housing and communal services.

Uzbekistan is also advancing digitalization in housing and utilities. According to a presidential decree from 17 March 2020, Tashkent plans large-scale implementation of digital technologies. The city already operates the unified information system “My Home,” which enables online payment of utilities and electronic interaction with service providers.

During the visit, both sides discussed applying Moscow’s urban digital management experience in Uzbekistan, with a focus on improving the quality of services provided by management companies and enhancing digital engagement with property owners. Future stages of collaboration in this field were agreed upon.
