Uzbekistan Adopts “Digital Prosecution – 2030” Strategy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On Approval of the Strategy ‘Digital Prosecution – 2030’ and Measures for Its Effective Implementation,” aimed at the digital transformation of the activities of the prosecution authorities.
The decree outlines the key objectives of the strategy, including the automation of all areas of prosecutorial work, enhancing transparency and efficiency based on advanced international practices, and transitioning investigative and prosecutorial oversight processes into electronic format.
As part of the strategy’s implementation, the integrated information system “Raqamli Prokuror” is being introduced. It will allow for remote monitoring of law compliance by government agencies, organizations, and their officials, as well as control over the conformity of their acts with the Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Additionally, a pilot version of the information system “Tekshiruvlarning Yagona Elektron Reyestri” (Unified Electronic Registry of Inspections) is planned, designed to monitor legal compliance in all types of supervisory and inspection activities. The full version of the system is scheduled to launch on December 1, 2026.
The President also approved the introduction of the “E-tergov” information system, which will digitize all stages of criminal proceedings, facilitate the online appointment of judicial examinations, and monitor the calculation and recovery of material damages.
Starting in the 2026/2027 academic year, the Law Enforcement Academy will open a new four-year full-time bachelor’s program in “Cyber Law” within the annual admission quotas.
To ensure the implementation of the decree and the “Digital Prosecution – 2030” strategy, a Center for Digital Technologies of the General Prosecutor’s Office will be established under the Department for the Implementation of Information and Communication Technologies and Information Security.
The center will serve as the key platform for implementing electronic processes and monitoring the effectiveness of prosecutorial authorities.
