Uzbekistan, ADB Discuss Transport Digitalization and Green Mobility in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilhomjon Abdugafarov held talks with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice President Yingming Yang.

The discussions focused on prospects for digitalizing the transport sector, introducing principles of “green mobility” in Tashkent, and providing technical assistance in drafting the legal framework for toll road development through public-private partnership mechanisms.

Special attention was given to logistics issues, including the expansion of multimodal transportation and container infrastructure as part of the new China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway corridor.

Yingming Yang highlighted the high level of cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and stressed the strategic importance of ongoing joint projects. ADB representatives expressed strong interest in further deepening dialogue and confirmed readiness to provide technical and advisory support for upcoming initiatives.
